This is a wonderful 1960s black patent leather handbag purse made in Italy. The label reads Mannelli Ponte Vecchio 42 Borgo S. Jacopo. 3 - Firenze - Mannelli started in business in 1952 and is still in existence selling leather goods. The flap of the purse closes with a tongue through a thermoplastic loop. The interior has a zippered compartment on one side and an open compartment on the other side. The purse measures 8 in width and 2 1/8 in depth at its bottom with a height of 6 3/4, excluding the handle - the handle has a drop of 4. It is in very good condition with no pronounced wear - handles are a little out of shape from storage, but this can be corrected. Nice quality patent leather, wonderful Italian 60s style!
